David M. Taylor, 60 of Vienna, WV; departed this earthly life Monday, December 9, 2024 at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born March 13, 1964 in Weston, WV; son of the late Claudius and Geraldine (Murphy) Taylor.
David is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1982. He is also a graduate of Glenville State University with a BA degree. David worked as a social worker for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources having retired with many years of service to his community. In his spare time, David enjoyed watching TV, living the quiet life, caring for his dogs, and he was a bigtime Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving are 3 sisters, Elizabeth Greenlief of Glenville, Erma Heater of Buckhannon, and Sue Byrd of Burnt House, and his aunt, Anna Jean Allen of Letter Gap. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and many other wonderful family and friends.
The family’s request for Cremation has been honored and David’s remains will be laid to rest alongside his parents, Claudius and Geraldine in the Meadow Lane Cemetery near Glenville.
