Ruth Kathryn Wolfe White, 87 of Glenville, WV; (Baldwin Community) became a beautiful Angel and gained her heavenly wings in the early afternoon hours of Monday, December 30, 2024 at her residence in Baldwin, with her loving daughter Robin and granddaughter Chelsea by her side.
She was born March 16, 1937 near Glenville, daughter of the late, Edward and Greek Lucille (Snider) Wolfe.
Ruth is a graduate of Sand Fork High School, class of 1956. She is a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She was a terrific mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed cooking, reading, working puzzles, spending time with family and friends, and she was a Baptist by faith.
On November 24, 1958 Ruth was united in marriage to Gerald L. White Sr., who survives at their home in Baldwin. They celebrated 66 years a marriage just last month.
Surviving are 4 children, Kathryn Nichols of Grantsville, WV; Gerald L. White Jr., and wife Jennifer of Mathias, WV; Robin Goodrich and husband Jim of Glenville, and Mary Peterson and husband Phil of Waynesburg, PA; and 1 sister, Betty McCullough of Glenville.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Josh and Jade Nichols, Kayla Williams, Amy White Ashley Huff, Lacey Peterson, and Chelsea Goodrich, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Holly Beth White and 4 siblings, Jimmy and Edward Wolfe, Mary Marsh, and infant Virginia L. Wolfe.
Ruth’s request for Cremation has been honored and a celebration of her life will be conducted later in 2025.
