Evelyn Belle Collins Hardman age 87 of Johnson Street, Glenville, WV; departed this life suddenly at her residence on October 13, 2016.
Born February 9, 1929 in Gilmer County, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Ola and Opal Sponaugle Collins.
Evelyn was a former retail sales clerk for Dalton department store in Glenville and also a homemaker. She was a long time member of the 1st Baptist Church of Glenville and in her spare time Evelyn enjoyed quilting, cooking, caring for her family, and spoiling her granddaughter, and great granddaughter.
On April 3, 1965, Evelyn was united in marriage to Hale B. Hardman, who departed this life on September 27, 2007.
Surviving is 1 daughter, Susie Sheets and husband Don of Glenville, 1 granddaughter, Shelly Sheets Ratliff and husband Jon of Glenville, and 1 great-granddaughter Brooklyn Ratliff of Glenville.
There are also 3 siblings surviving, Mary Pritt and Ruth Southall of Canton, OH; and Eugene Collins and wife Margaret of Glenville, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harley and Don Collins,2 brothers-in-law, Doy Pritt and Richard Southall, and 1 sister-in-law Jean Collins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc; 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 3:00 PM; Sunday, October 16, 2016 with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery in Glenville. Friends may call from 1-3 PM; Sunday afternoon at the mortuary.
