Jerry Richard Price

Jerry Richard Price age 78 of Millstone, WV; departed this life suddenly in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his residence.

Born February 9, 1939 in Boone County, WV; Richard is the son of the late Arnold Price and Lillian Chittum Hill.

Richard was a Gradall Operator in the construction industry and he retired from J. F. Allen Road Construction in Elkins in 2005 with 30 plus years experience. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed playing golf, playing bingo, hunting mushrooms, wood working, and he was an avid hunter back in the day. Richard was also a proud member of the Mingo Bottom Golf Club in Elizabeth, WV; and he also enjoyed spending time with his loving wife. When you seen one, you seen two.

On July 20, 1968 Jerry was united in marriage to Betty Postalwait Price who survives at their Millstone home.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Price Buchanan (Tom) of Mt. Zion, WV; and Barbara Linger (Delmer) of Elizabeth, WV; and two siblings, Jack Price of Millstone, and Norma White (Willard) of Mt. Zion, and  two  1/2 siblings, Mike Hill (Joann) of Normantown, WV; and Charlene Hill Harris of Birch Run, Michigan.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Justin Price (Lauren) of Morgantown, WV; Katelyn Bunch (companion Evan Mathess) of Elizabeth, WV; and Brandy Ferguson (Cody) of Valdosta, Georgia.

Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one infant son, Jerry Allen Price

Richard’s request for cremation has been honored and the family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
