Adam Wayne Ramsey age 31 of Glenville, WV departed this life suddenly on the afternoon of Thursday, August 24, 2017. Born January 7, 1986 in Parkersburg, WV, Adam is the loving son of Darrel Ramsey of Glenville, and the late Pauletta “Penny” Crutchfield Ramsey.
Adam is a graduate of Braxton County High School, class of 2004 and a graduate of Glenville State College, class of 2015. He worked as a rig hand in the oil and gas industry and in his spare time, Adam enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to church, and helping anyone that needed it. He loved spending time with family and friends and he attended church at The Pulse in Gassaway.
Surviving are 5 siblings, Mark Ramsey and wife Becky of Parkersburg, James Ramsey and companion Misty Smith of Glenville, Josh Ramsey and wife Robyn of Glenville, Whitney Ramsey of Columbus, OH, and Greg Marks of Parkersburg, 5 nieces and nephews, Adrian, Asia, and Tiara Ramsey of Parkersburg, and Jessie and Brantlee Ramsey of Glenville, and his lifelong companion Lisa Cunningham of Braxton County.
Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Darrell and Janet Ramsey of Spencer, Ohio, aunt Patty Miller and aunt Gwen Ramsey of Lodi, Ohio, uncle Jimmy Ramsey and aunt Tammy Vaughn and husband Doug, both of West Salem, Ohio, uncle Tim Crutchfield of Burnsville, aunt Mindy Huffman of Clarksburg, and cousins, Greg Ramsey of New York and Amanda Hastings and husband Jeremiah of Clarksburg.
Along with his mother, Adam is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Rose Riffle Crutchfield, who Adam lovingly called “Gran” and “Pappaw”.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc, 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV 26351 at 7:00 PM; Sunday August 27, 2017 with Pastor John Fowler officiating. Following services, Adams remains will be cremated and his ashes scattered. Friends will be received from 5-7 PM; Sunday evening at the mortuary.
