Mabel Ann Wine age 79 of Pine Run Road, Orlando, WV; (Gilmer County) departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, WV; following an extended illness. Born June 7, 1938 in Gilmer County, Mabel Ann is the daughter of the late David E. and Elsie Grace King Heater.
Mabel is a graduate of Sand Fork High School, class of 1956. She worked as a waitress and paralegal for a while but was best known for her cleaning business. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, living the quiet life in West Virginia, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren whenever possible. Mabel was a Methodist by faith and in her youth enjoyed playing volleyball and softball.
On June 23, 1956 Mabel Ann was united in marriage to Jackie D. “Jack” Wine, who survives at their Pine Run Road home near Orlando.
Surviving are 3 sons, Gary Wine and David Wine of Canton, OH; and Dean Wine (Dorothy) of Elkhart, IN; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, and Ardon Wine, 3 great-grandchildren, Riley Tharpe, Liam Tharpe, and Crystal Wine, and 3 siblings, Chris Heater (Thea) of Lexington, KY; Jack Heater (Cheryl) of Vienna, WV; and Rebecca Niggamyer of Fairmont, WV.
Along with her parents, Mabel Ann is preceded in death by 2 siblings, Tommy and Darrell Heater and her step-mother, Bessie Heater.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Friday, January 12, 2018 with Pastor Jim Short officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Cemetery on Rocky Fork Road. Friends will be received from 11-1 Friday at the mortuary.
