Tammy Tallhamer

Tammy Tallhamer, 56 of Cox’s Mills, WV; departed this earthly life on Sunday January 24, 2021 at the Camden-Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV; following a brief illness.

She was born June 13, 1964 in Elyria, OH; daughter of the late Parker E. “Park” and Wilma Langford Tallhamer.

Tammy is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1982. She is a former employee of the Glenville Foodland and the United Summit Center. In her spare time she enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, cooking, and spending time and spoiling her grandson whenever possible.

Surviving is her loving son, Michael A. Shiflet and wife Leslie of Cox’s Mills, WV; a grandson, Lucas Shiflet of Cox’s Mills, and 5 siblings Mildred “Millie” Plifka and husband Gene of Charlotte, NC; Parker E. “Gene” Tallhamer II of Glenville, Rusty Tallhamer and wife Grace of Glenville, Norman Tallhamer of Glenville, and Tina Miller and husband Craig of Shock, WV.

Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at the Turner Cemetery near Lockney, WV; at 2:00 PM; Friday, January 29, 2021 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating.
