Bonnie Lou Tickle

Bonnie Lou Tomey Tickle, 58, of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, WV; following a brief illness.

She was born March 9, 1963 in Linn, WV; daughter of the late Dale and Nittie Riffle Hefner.

Bonnie is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1981. She is a homemaker who loved caring for her family, attending yard sales, sitting on her porch, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren whenever possible.

On June 18, 2021 bonnie was united in marriage to Joseph Lee Tickle who survives at their Sand Fork home.

Surviving are 5 children, Michael Tomey (Jordain) of Weston, Steven Tomey of Letter Gap, WV; Howard Tomey (Rebecca) of Glenville, April Riffle (Raymond) of Sand Fork, and Beverly Tomey also of Sand Fork, and 4 siblings, Jean Stalnaker (Gary) of Weston, Bobby Hefner of Walkersville, WV; Violet Gregory (Larry) of Cedarville, WV; and Don Hefner (Jenny) of Linn.

Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Bryce, Anna, William, Michelle, Kaylee, Lacy, Sabrina, Austin, and Tiara, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her first husband Charles Tomey, who departed this life on April 10, 2018.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Saturday, January 29, 2022 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Grove Cemetery in Linn, WV. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM; Saturday at the mortuary in Glenville.
