Maurice Gene Arnold Jr.

Maurice Gene Arnold Jr., 45 of Sliding Run Road, departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his residence, following a brief battle with cancer.

He was born November 16, 1977 in Wauseon, OH; son of the late Maurice and Jeanne Wise Arnold.

Gene is a graduate of Anthony Wayne High School in Ohio, class of 1995. In his youth he worked for a greenhouse and enjoyed his time there. In his spare time, Gene enjoyed fishing, caring for animals, living the quiet life in West Virginia, and spending all the time he could with his daughter, Asia.

Gene is survived by his loving daughter, Asia Jean Arnold of Sliding Run, 2 sisters, LuAnn Beth Arnold and Christine Bland (Joe) of Fulton County, OH; and his former wife, Velvet Dawn Arnold also of Sliding Run.

Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

A committal service will be conducted at 2:00 PM; Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 1049 Sliding Run Road Burnsville, WV; 26335 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Following the committal, Gene will be laid to rest in the Cottrill Family and Friends Cemetery up behind the house.
