Amy Melissa Self-Alloway, 58 of Dusk Camp, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, following a sudden illness. Amy was a giver, and even in death she found a way to give the ultimate gift of life. Amy has ability to connect with people of all ages, and all walks of life and will be missed and more and as a result of her walk. She brought sunshine and happiness those who needed it. She will be greatly missed and always loved. She was born July 26, 1964 in Parkersburg, daughter of the late Hunter and Millie S. (Sams) Beall. Amy is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1982. She is a Christian by faith who loved her children passionately. Amy enjoyed being outdoors, going with her family to the Outer Banks, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the quiet life in West Virginia. Surviving are 4 children, Annamoriah Payne, husband JT, and father Randy Tuell of Beckley, Hunter Self of Fairmont, and Levi and Arabealla Self of Sand Fork, 2 grandchildren, Jack and Jae Alizabeth Payne, both of Beckley, and 2 siblings, Kimberly Ann Fury of Parkersburg, and Hunter Lee Beall (Donna) of Weston. Also surviving former husband Paul Alloway, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends. Along with her parents, Amy is preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Kenny Self, son, Anderson Malachi Self, and 2 siblings, Sharon Beall and Pamela Flemming. A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 6:00 PM; Wednesday, May 31, 2023 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Following services Amy’s request for cremation will be honored and the family will have a private committal service at a later date. Friends will be received from 4:00 – 6:00 PM; Wednesday afternoon at the mortuary in Glenville. Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., is honored to assist the family of Amy Melissa Self-Alloway with arrangements. |
