Janice V. Shields-Wilson

Janice V. Shields-Wilson, 74 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Monday, September 25, 2023 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV; following an extended illness.

She was born January 6, 1949 in Gilmer County, daughter of the late Farrell and Dorothy (Beall) Smarr.

Janice is the Owner/Operator of the Four Seasons Salon in Glenville and has been a hair stylist in the Glenville area for decades. Janice is a Christian by faith and enjoyed going to yard sales, putting up her Christmas lights every year, staying connected with her community on Facebook, and spending time with her loving family.

On January 16, 2004 Janice was united in marriage to Clark Wilson, who survives at their Sand Fork home.

Surviving is her loving son Freddie Hall and companion Jeannette Klapka of Glenville, 1 granddaughter, Brittaney Hall of Martinsburg, WV; and 2 great-granddaughters, Jayden Hall and Cassidy Taylor.

Also surviving are 5 siblings, Barbara Wine of Burnsville, WV; Thelma Davisson (Danny) Jane Lew, WV; Roscoe Smarr (Pamela) of Clarksburg, WV; Shelia Mozingo of Darlington, SC; and Diana Eubanks of Clarksburg, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her son, David Hall and step-son, Robert “Bobby” Wilson.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Thursday, September 28, 2023 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiney Cemetery near Linn, WV. Friends will be received from 1:00 – 2:00 Thursday at the mortuary in Glenville.
