Terry C. Junkins

Terry C. Junkins, 49, of Tanner, WV; departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Thursday, December 7, 2023 at his home, following a courageous battle with Cancer.

He was born February 2, 1974 in Weston, WV; son of Charles “Chuck” Junkins and wife Rebecca of Tanner.

Terry worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the oil and gas industry. In his spare time, Terry enjoyed shooting guns, being outdoors, winning corn hole, spending time with family and friends, living the quiet life in Gilmer County, and spoiling his granddaughter whenever possible.

On April 3, 2010 Terry was united in marriage to Leisa (McHenry) Junkins, who survives at their Tanner home.

Surviving are 3 children, Nicholas Junkins of White Sulphur Springs, WV; and Jessica Welch and Kaylee Welch of Clendenin, WV; and 1 granddaughter, Ariah Rose also of Clendenin.

Also surviving are 4 siblings, Kevin Junkins of Glenville, Tammy Junkins of Tanner, Ciara Moyers (Doug) of Cedarville, WV; and Dustin Junkins of Glenville, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Terry is preceded in death by his mother, Joan (Foster) Junkins.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV 26351 at 2:00 PM; Tuesday, December 12, 2023 with Pastor Bryan Groves and Pastor John Putnam officiating. Burial will follow in the McHenry II Cemetery near Sand Fork, WV. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM Tuesday at the mortuary in Glenville.
