Charles R. Myers

Charles R. Myers, 77 of Ellis Road, Linn, WV; departed this earthly life in the afternoon hours of Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV; following an extended illness.

He was born October 22, 1946 in Lewis County, WV, son of the late Charles E. Myers and Minnie (Waldeck) Myers Mills.

Charles worked at a custodian for Glenville State College having retired with 17 years of service. He is a long time member of the Upper Ellis United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

On February 27, 1965 Charles was united in marriage to Wilma Lea (Radcliff) Myers, who survives at their home near Linn.

Surviving is a son, Jerry Myers and wife Suzanne of Crawford, WV; and 2 grandchildren, Caleb and Isabella Myers, both of Crawford.

Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his loving daughter, Sharon Myers.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 AM; Wednesday, December 27, 2023 with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiney Cemetery near Linn, WV. Friends will be received from 5:00 – 7:00 PM; Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the mortuary in Glenville.
