William Hoy Radcliff, 85 of Linn, WV; departed this earthly life in the evening hours of Monday, November 18, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born January 22, 1939 in Linn, WV; son of the late Hoy and Justine (Ratliff) Radcliff.
Hoy was a glass blower for Louie Glass in Weston. He started there at the age of 18 and retired with 44 years’ experience. He is a member of the Upper Ellis Methodist Church and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, gardening, relaxing on his porch, and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible.
Hoy was such a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. You always knew where you stood with him and he will be greatly missing by all.
On April 11, 1969, Hoy was united in marriage to Wanda K. (Keesecker) Radcliff, who preceded him in death on September 11, 2015.
Surviving are 2 children, Susan Keith and husband Jeff and Robert Radcliff and wife Kelly both of Linn, WV; 3 grandchildren, Roberta Radcliff and long term companion John Carder of Linn, William Radcliff of Washington D.C., and Kathern Duncan and husband Dylan of Linn, 4 great-grandchildren, Myla Radcliff, Kaylin Radcliff, Zayden Carder, and Brinley Duncan, and 1 son by heart, Cale Shackleford of Linn.
Also surviving are 2 sisters, Wilma Myers of Linn and Nancy Moody of Glenville, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his wife and parents, Hoy is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Sprouse and Louise “Midge” Pritt.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 3:00 PM; Sunday, November 24, 2024 with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiney Cemetery near Linn, WV. Friends will be received from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.
