Vera Louise (Williams) Davidson, 83, formerly of Tanner, departed this earthly life in the early morning quiet of Friday, January 7th, 2022, at the home of her daughter in Bridgeport, WV, following an extended illness.

She was born near Tanner WV July 2, 1938, the second of ten children born to the late Russell L. and Bonnie Jones Williams.

Louise and her late husband, Delbert L. Davidson, were the original builders and owners of both the Vera Lee Apartments and Bungalow Village, in Glenville for many years, and she later retired from the Department of Agriculture.  She attended Glenville Elementary and High Schools and earned her GED with flying colors.

Louise was a Christian by faith and baptized many years ago at Glenville First Baptist Church.  She always had a beautiful smile and kind words for everyone.  She and her five sisters, and maybe a niece or two, shared together their lives at a sisters’ weekend at various WV State Parks for years.  Those were very happy times!  Louise dearly enjoyed a swingin’ and a reelin’ while square dancing at the WV Folk Festival for many years and would dance all evening!

She is survived by her only child and daughter, Connie Harbaugh and husband Dan; grandson, Brett Harbaugh and wife Karlee; granddaughter Julia Burris and husband Keenan; great-grandsons Danny and Reed Harbaugh.  Also surviving are her beloved siblings; brothers, Paul Williams and wife Denise; Ronnie Williams; and sisters, Marjorie Koontz; Bonnie Bennett and husband Danny; Helen Helmick; Kathy Nicholson and husband Scotty; and Susan Helmer and husband Dave.  Louise is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Nora Jean Dye and Oleta Robinson; many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and precious friends, and one remaining dear sweet aunt, Ruby Butcher, all of whom she loved dearly.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, little Delmas and Leon Williams.

The family would especially like to thank the many wonderful people with Amedisys Hospice for their personal care and attention of Louise.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV 26531 at 1:00PM; Wednesday, January 12, 2022 with Chaplin Jerry Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Woodford Cemetery near Glenville.  Friends and family will be received from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Wednesday morning at the mortuary in Glenville.
