Lucas Daniel DeMarino
December 21, 1993 - January 14, 2022
Lucas Daniel DeMarino, 28, of Glenville, WV; departed his earthly home on January 14, 2022.
He was born December 21, 1993 in Buckhannon, WV; son of Shelly Morris Smith and Dr. Daniel DeMarino.
He is a graduate of Gilmer County High School class of 2012 and Glenville State College, class of 2017 where he made lifelong friends that he loved deeply. Luke was a hard worker that had become a licensed Real Estate Agent for Central WV Real Estate Agency while working full time for his family’s company, Waco Oil and Gas, as an Assistant Manager in the Land Department.
Luke is survived by his parents, Shelly Morris Smith of Ponte Vedra, FL; Dr. Daniel DeMarino of Bridgeport, WV; as well as his sister, Dr. Hannah DeMarino of San Diego, CA. In addition, Luke is also survived by his step-father, Greg Smith of Ponte Vedra, FL; and step-sister, Sarah Smith of Morgantown, WV. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, I.L. “Ike” and Sue Morris of Glenville, while his paternal Grandparents, Dr. Frank “Chich” and Joann DeMarino, greeted him at the heavenly gates.
He is also survived by Uncle Doug Morris of Glenville, Aunt Kim Morris of Glenville and Aunt Theresa Wysor and Uncle Joe, of Fairfax, VA.
Luke was blessed with cousins who were more like siblings, Ian and Jordan Morris of Glenville and Callie and Tori Wysor of Fairfax, VA, and two very special great nieces, Arianna Hope Morris, and Mia Grace Morris. A host of Great Aunts, Uncles and cousins also mourn the loss of Luke. We would ask all family and friends that were able to share in Luke’s brilliant smile and wonderful personality to gather together to remember and celebrate Luke. Our time together will include many hugs, food, and most importantly an opportunity to share stories, memories and our collective sadness of his passing. We invite you to join us at the home of Luke’s grandparents at 2888 US Highway 33 E, Glenville, WV. 26351, on Friday January 21, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
