Helen Louise Ritchie Wilson Williams, 84 of Leroy, WV; departed this earthly life to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Summa Health System Akron City Hospital in Akron, OH; following an sudden illness.

She was born July 28, 1937 in Grantsville, WV; daughter of the late William “Bill” Ritchie and Daisy Holbert Sims.

Helen is a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She is a long time member of the Glenville Community Church having served as a church mother for over 35 years. She was a member of the Gospel group “Redeemed” for many years and loved singing gospel music when she could. In her spare time, Helen enjoyed spending time with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible, and staying active in her church.

On September 21, 2013 Helen was united in marriage to Richard “Rick” Williams who survives at their Leroy, WV; home.

Surviving are 4 children, Debbie Malnar and husband Arnell of Smithville, WV; Sandi Smith and husband Floyd of Parkersburg, WV; Mike Wilson and wife Carol of Smithville, and Pastor Randy Wilson of Glenville, 10 grandchildren, Jordan Damsa, Britney Moss (Dakota), Chad Tallhamer (Melanie), Brad Tallhamer (Lisa),  Robin Williams (Wade), Joseph Wilson, Brandon Smith (Maralee), Hannah Smith, Donovan Williams, and Sierrista Williams, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of other wonderful family, friends, and church family.

Along with her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her first husband Leman “Bud” Wilson, step-father Walker Sims, daughter, Michele Dawn “Shellie” Damsa, and son, baby Joseph Mark Wilson.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Glenville Community Church, 210 Walnut Street, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Burial will following the Hunt Cemetery at Big Bend (Calhoun County). Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00 PM; Monday evening at the church in Glenville.
