Phillip Wayne King, “Phil” 68 of Laughlin Nevada departed this earthly life on the afternoon of June 10, 2022 at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was surrounded by his three beautiful daughters and close family and is now resting peacefully in his eternal life in the heavenly kingdom with his late wife Rosanne “Annie” Westlo King, united in marriage 2014 and preceded in death 2015.

He was born June 27, 1953 in Michigan to the late Delbert Henson King and the late Lavern King. Along with his mother and father, Phil was preceded in death by his siblings Johnny, Kenny, Joanne, and Sandy. He is survived by eldest sister Mary Ellen Schiffer Pua of Las Vegas. Phil is also survived by his three daughters and their mother, Mary Kelley of Glenville, Brandie Nielsen (Rick) of Las Vegas, Barbara Pyles (Larry) of Glenville and Kelly Yoak (Scott) of Glenville. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren that he deeply adored, Avalyn King-Pyles, Wyatt Yoak, Maddie Nielsen, and Gavyn Pyles and two step grandchildren Brandon Pyles and Samantha Pyles. He had a host of friends and family in his Laughlin community and was involved deeply with his Laughlin Community Church, he is also missed by his family and friends in Las Vegas and surrounding areas in Nevada. and from a big group of hillbillies in West Virginia. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Phil lived his life loud, proud and as big as he was. He worked for years as being the only or best handyman to call when the strip of casinos in Laughlin were in need of a repair in the kitchens. He was rewarded several times with a free meal or a comped show because his personality collected friends wherever he went. He never met a stranger and will be missed by many. He was also the biggest cheerleader for his three daughters and everyone he met.

A gathering for him will be held in Laughlin, NV at the Laughlin Community Church on July 22, 2022, and he will be laid to rest with wife Annie at Palm Mortuary on July 25, 2022. A gathering for a celebration of his life will be held for his extended West Virginia friends and family later in August, 2022.

The family of Phil King are honored by all the well wishes, words of comfort thoughts and prayers from all the many people that loved him, and we are grateful to have had the time we did with him. Rest Easy Dad, we love you.
