Obituaries

Aaron Labe Bennett, 79 of Glenville, WV; (Camden Flats) departed this earthly life on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV; following and extended illness.

He was born November 12, 1943 in Normantown, WV; son of the late Dorsey and Thelma Conrad Bennett.

Aaron worked in the construction industry since he was 13 years of age until his retirement and was very proud of his trade. In his spare time, Aaron enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever possible.

On September 6, 1964 Aaron was united in marriage to Lenora Reaser Bennett with whom he was married for 58 years and who survives at their Camden Flats home.

Surviving are 2 sons, Dorsey Lee Bennett of Cedarville, WV; and Aaron Labe Bennett Jr., of Glenville, and 3 siblings, Betty Montgomery, Ivy Burns, and Winnie Cunningham.

Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Lisa Jean Hardman, Ian Jacob Bennett, and Ahnaleah Bennett, 1 step-grandchild, Anthony Harper, 2 great-grandchildren, Lucas Charles Hardman and Waylon Aaron Bennett, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Along with his parents, Aaron is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Bennett, 3 sisters, Mary, Suzanna and Corrina, and brothers, Ezra, Cecil, Shirley, and Delnore.

Aaron’s request for cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be conducted by the family at a later date.
