Obituaries

Christopher Robin Hatton 46, of Glenville WV departed this earthly life suddenly on Friday June 30, 2023.

He was born in Morgantown WV on October 8, 1976, and he was employed by Mamma’s Brick Oven Pie and Pasta in Glenville, WV. Christopher enjoyed running, and has ran over 30 marathons; including the famous Boston Marathon. He was a Yoga instructor and is survived by his Yoga Guru’s Savitri Bach, Sri Peremananda Deva, and Lakshmi Devi. In his spare time Chris enjoyed listening to music, swimming, nature walks, meditation, playing pool, writing poetry, and being in his native sweat lodge for spiritual purposes.  He also enjoyed walks with his dog, Ram, gardening, planting flowers, vegetables, and fruits, and maintaining his lawn

On January 30, 2017 Christopher was united in marriage to Michelle Simms-Hatton, who survives at their Glenville home.

Along with his loving wife, Chris is survived by 2 step Children, Cheno Nguyen of Oakland, CA; and Chyna Nguyen of Glenville, WV. Chris is also survived by his best friend, Rodney Wakefield of Frederick, MD, and 3 special friends, Amanda Dearaway, Darryl Williams, and Mark Ayala. Chris also is survived by his two loving pets Ram and Sita.

Also surviving are; his special Aunt Margaret and Uncle Allen of Arbovale, WV, Aunt Sandra Long of Belington, WV; Aunt Sue Kinnison of Buckeye, WV; Uncle Edwin Kinnison of Charleston, WV; Uncle Harold Treadway of Fayetteville, WV; Aunt Mildred Treadway Scott of Florida, Cousin Debbie Treadway of Summersville, WV; Cousin Kaye Treadway and Lee Treadway of Fayetteville, WV; and Curtis Treadway of Oak Hill, WV.

Also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.

Proceeding Chris is death is his father Daniel W. Hatton and 4 grandmothers and 4 Grandfathers.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Camden Flats Baptist Church, 510 Kanawha Street, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 2:00 PM; Saturday August 5, 2023 with Pastor Dwight Goff, Rev. Warren C. Johnson Sr., and Chris’s longtime spiritual leader Guru Savitri Bach officiating. Friends will be received from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM; Saturday, August 5, at the church in Camden Flats.

Following services, Michelle will honor Chris’s request to be cremated. His ashes will be divided into three sets. His Aunt Margaret will bury his ashes at Christopher’s Kinnison family plot and his cousin Kaye Treadway will also put him at the Treadway/Hatton Family Plot. Michelle Hatton will lay his ashes at Christopher’s most peaceful outdoor space which is what he wanted.
