Jacky Dale Persinger, 72 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life to be with his Lord and Savior in the evening hours of Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with his loving family by his side.
He was born December 23, 1951 in Linn, WV; son of the late James Persinger and Mary (McHenry) Persinger Riffle.
Jacky is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1970 and a graduate of Glenville State College where he received a degree in accounting. Jacky is a veteran of the United Sates Air Force having served his country with honor and distinction. He was a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner having been self-employed with Jacky D. Persinger CPA INC.
Jacky is a Deacon and longtime member of the Sand Fork Baptist Church and in his spare time enjoyed farming, golfing, wood working, baseball, history of any sort, spending time with family and friends, and was a self-described “Jack of all trades and master of one.”
On January 30, 1972 Jacky was united in marriage to Susan (Love) Persinger, who survives at their Sand Fork home.
Surviving are 2 children, Tina Persinger and companion Adam Hamrick of Sand Fork, and Johnny Persinger and wife Alisha of Chapmanville, WV; and 6 grandchildren, Jacob Persinger, Lucas Ward, and Kyle, Paige, Ian, and Jett Persinger.
Also surviving are 5 siblings Jimmy (Twin) Persinger and wife Pam of Apple Creek, OH; Linda Ice, of Salem, WV; Cora Persinger Wiggins of Linn, WV; Judith Albanese of Dallas, TX; and Scotty Riffle and wife Nicole of Linn, WV; sister-in-law, Mary Jones (Russell), and 2 brother-in-laws, Howard and Charlie (Arlene) Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family, church family, and friends.
Along with his parents, Jack is preceded in death by 2 siblings, Gene Persinger, and Helen Riffle.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Sand Fork Baptist Church at 1:00 PM; Thursday January 4, 2024 with Pastor Dwight Goff officiating. Burial will follow in the Boilon Cemetery near Copley, WV; with Full Military honors provided by the United States Air Force and the Lewis County Honor Guard. Friends will be received from 4:00 – 7:00 PM; Wednesday evening at the Church in Sand Fork.
